I didn't get time today to work on this. A "simple" tire change turned into using a torch to heat up lug nuts on every wheel just to get them off.... Joys of owning plow trucks!

No worries, I know how that goes. I haven't had a chance to mess with them the last couple days anyway.... Busy week getting things closed up before the holidays. Appreciate you trying it out when you got time.

I think you guys are over thinking it. :)

If you want your new bed lights to be controlled by the cargo lamp switch, find the cargo lamp control at pin A6 of the BCM (It's a ground control) and connect that to terminal 85 on the relay. Connect +12 to terminal 86 and 30 on the relay. Connect terminal 87 to the +12 side of your bed lighting and find a chassis ground for -12 for it.

Attach 85 to the blue with white stripe wire or terminal f on the connector. Connect 86 to a fused positve. When the cargo light is turned on the relay will activate. Connect 30 to fused positive and 87 to your new lights.

86 and 30 can be pigtailed to each other to save running extra wire.

Wanted to bump this up as I’m getting ready to do the same thing on led bed lights wire them to be controlled by the cargo lamp switch in the truck. Would it be ok to fuse tap constant power and then ground to the Cargo Lamp Low control wire (Dark Blue and white) at the switch? If not what is the proper way to wire to get functionality from the switch?

TX of course
I had 2 strand wire on hand when I did mine, so I got power and ground from the cargo light.
