so what rod/main bearings is everyone using in their builds and has anyone noticed more failures with one brand or the other?? also if you could include p/n's that'd be great.

from what i gathered from Henry, they are harder than the "h" series for big big hp.
Has anyone looked at Rockauto at the clevites they sell? their prices for the H series shocked me

h is a harder material
p is a softer material
if your have a bearing failure p bearings will get torn up instead of destroying the crank mains requiring less turning of the crank
but with high hp engines the h bearings are better since they take the abuse

Yup. Unless they are in good shape and the machine shop doesnt hot tank the block I will reuse them.
Ah good to know! Thanks travis. Ive always seen everyone post about main and rod bearings but nothing about cam bearings
