so what rod/main bearings is everyone using in their builds and has anyone noticed more failures with one brand or the other?? also if you could include p/n's that'd be great.

from what i gathered from Henry, they are harder than the "h" series for big big hp.

Has anyone looked at Rockauto at the clevites they sell? their prices for the H series shocked me

hx bearings is what i used, i have a set of standard h bearings if you want them

h is a harder material
p is a softer material


if your have a bearing failure p bearings will get torn up instead of destroying the crank mains requiring less turning of the crank

but with high hp engines the h bearings are better since they take the abuse
