BD Turbo Shaft after Sled pulling and shooting some Juice. Weight was about 6900lbs at the time. Needle on the 35lb boost gauge was hitting the needle on the other side. I believe I had thrust bearing failure. The BD people said it was bearing failure due to contamanated oil. Thought I let everyone have a look at the carnage. Time to go a little bigger.:nanawrench:

Wastegate? Maybe a little too much boost Brent. Thrust bearing failure is normally due to excessive drive pressure and/or overspinning it. I have a little experience in this area:(
That charger was making a lot of power. Time for a second pump and a set of twins:D

Sorry about your turbo

Are you backing the boost down when you spray the NOS? My opinion(for what that is worth) you need to back down the boost when spraying. You don't need it, the NOS will add the air without all the heat. I am trying something new for the diesel power challenge and if it works like it has so far its pretty cool!(pun intended) I will let everyone in on it after the event.:D

BADDZL03, do you back the timing down when you use NOS and how much?

I am running Moonshine, Tony made me up a nitrous tune that takes out a little timing and adds a little more fuel. I can back the timing a little more because of my larger injectors. I would say 2-4 degrees would be my guess.

Thanks, I had a hunch that timing was being pulled out. I think there is a fine line there. I think you will find out that many with a BIG turbo adds timing. I feel you need it with the extra air and or fuel with higher RPM. Thanks Jeff

Oil supply comes out the side of the block it's a 19mm bolt right next to the oil cooler/filter assembely doesn't come out of the Cam location like the stocker does.
