the cables will not reach even if i undid the loom (tried yesterday because i needed a measurement of how much longer i needed to extend them) . I'll get sme pics of where i put the batt once its wired up.. i didn;t like the idea of the spare bat being on the outside of the frame rail or being visable from the side of the truck. looks like crap in the spot imo. mine is on the inside of the fram much farther back ;) just about where the muffler would sit under the bed.

yes i still have a rear exiting exhaust, yes there is room, and yes its mounted out of the way and much better protected in this spot :)

The spot that ben chose probably the cables are long enough. But i moved mine to where the battery is under the pass side FRONT seat, tucked up all the way. The cables wERE NOT long enough for WHAT I DID

i mounted mine on the outside, with the battery posts facing the tranny

well I mounted mine where GM says to mount it, and where they do actually mount it from the factory on the LSSV trucks. I just ASSumed everyone would do it the same way as me and GM do.

Sorry guys, I lied, the cables dont reach.......

lol ben, with all the other stuff i change from what gm did (footwell lights and such) i figured maybe my spot would be a little more visually appealing. i don't like seeing more stuff than i have to, plus my airhorn sits right where gm wants the tray :p priorities
