Me too

That is what i use... 1 awg:cool:

Dont solder the ends,Use a proper crimping tool IMO
I like to solder justthe wire and then crimpover that. Gives you a nice solid end that won't flatten out when you crimp. jmo though, everyone has their own little quirkes on how they do things.

damn thats some big wire guys! i have enough 2/0 for both cables but thought that was too heavy. i don't want the "blowing down a paper towel tube effect" with the larger cables. thats why i was curious about what the stock size is.

guys you know you dont even have to lengthen the battery cables... ;)

just unravel them from the wire loom and there is plenty to reach where the frame-rail battery box goes.

No need to run the ground back there. Just fasten it to the frame and fasten the factory on to the frame up front.

Oversized wire won't hurt you. No need to worry about velocity with electricity.

I have a feeling he has the bat out of reach.....just a guess tho

Second of all, Im a little frustrated that everyone thinks Im trying to bullshit all you guys. You can clearly see right here that my factory un-touched-un-lengthened battery cables on my 2005 chevrolet silverado 2500HD crew cab short bed LT 4x4 duramax diesel allison transmission easilly reach to the battery box where I (and everyone else) mounted it on the passenger side frame rail. :)

ALL you have to do is take apart the wire loom and reroute the cable, and BOTH the positive and ground cables will reach the remote battery mount with more than a few inches of extra slack to allow for whatever. Now I dont wanna hear it from you california guys how your trucks look so clean during the winter. :D :p:

I didn't doubt you one bit;) My comment was ment towards Kyle meaning that he would put the bat in an odd ball location:D:hug:
