Holy cow Paul, your still alive!!

You yanks are in trouble I think. It seems like you can't win no matter who you vote for. However, do you have a minimum voter turnout required to elect a new president? If not enough voters show up, do they need to reelect candidates? Maybe that's your only hope if so.

Either way, I have a 30' x 30' garage in the works in my house. I have room for those of you wanting to defect.:D

That is why if you receive any gov money or assistance you should not be allowed to vote.

You know... I heard Michael Savage screaming this the other evening, and my first reaction was "Whoa - wait just a minute!" Then I started thinking about the rationale, and I think there's a whole lot to be said for this. The problem is that they are now virtually indistinguishable from retirees. Even Bill Gates will get an SSI check when he retires - you can't refuse them.

So, maybe not any gov money, but set some criteria - welfare, food stamps, WIC, Medicaid, and a few others. If you take money when you should be able to get along with out it... you disqualify yourself from voting rights. You make it your choice.

But with a Democrat congress and the ACLU? Pigs will fly first...

Ya know, I have never post about politics, but Obama scares me...
Socialist, ya that's for sure.
Inexperience, ya that's for sure.
Not going to raise taxes, ya right.
This guy has so many uneducated people voting for him because what he said sounds REALLY good, until its analyzed, ballanced with logic, and thought through to the end. Then one realizes he is just spewing BS that will be bad for the US. His is so smooth, decent looking, etc, it may happen! My 18 year old daughter "likes" him and may vote for him. I asked why and she didn't really know, he just sounds like he will take care of everyone. I had to explain things like taxes, medicare, war, etc to her to open her eyes to the real world, not his dream shit.
I'm really worried for the first time in 20+ years of voting. As a republican and having voted Democrat in the past, I'd rather have Hillary  over him.
This will be bad for the US.

Exactly. Too many Americans are "stupid" , in that they dont put forth the effort to look past the political doublespeak and think about what the candidate is REALLY saying. What really scares me is that with Obama in the WH, that gives Pelosi and Franks a blank check to implement all their socialistic, liberal agenda.

IMHO The problem with Obama is he is too left... If it was Hilary and McCain running for President I could still rest assure that someone with a level head would be in office. Hilary is on the Left side of the middle, McCain is on the right side of the middle both sway more right or left in the areas of abortion, Stem Cell Research, and Religion but Obama AHHHHH! hes so far left it petrifies me. I hope people comprehend who they are voting for in this Socialistic abomination to the name "American".... A man who's "mentors" are Reverend Wright, and the College Professor that was involved in the Pentagon bombing of the 1970's (I can't remember his name) WOW I can't believe we have come to this... Sure I think most of us can agree that Bush less than a great President but to try and correct the problems we have with the EXACT opposite of what we need in a President is pathetic.... That bi**h Nancy Pelosi cries and cries about Bush this and Bush that.... and so do her mindless Liberal comrades.... But for the past what 2 years or so they(Democrats) have had control of the House and Senate they could have vetoed anything that Bush tried to make into law.... Why aren't they being blamed for some of our Economic problems? WOW I could talk politics for hours and hours but in the end it is all a waste of time

Some Get it, Some Don't

I was talking to a friend's little girl, and when I asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up, she said she wanted to be President some day.
Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?'

She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.'

'Wow - what a worthy goal,' I told her. 'You don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the
$50 to use toward food or a new house.'

She thought that over for a few seconds because she's only 6. And while her mother glared at me, the little girl looked me straight in the eye and asked, 'Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work and you can just pay him the $50?'

And I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.'

Her folks still aren't talking to me.

Thank you:hug:. If Palin was involved in some sort of Anti-American act we would never hear the end of it.

"Liberalism is a Mental Disorder"

Of course that would never happen because she is a patriot. Instead we have to hear about how much her clothes cost. If McCain does get elected I'm putting my resume in to be her "intern". :D

And the really stupid part is due to the liberal media, eveyone is blaming Bush! I'll bet 98% of the people tht are blaming Bush for the current economy, fuel prices, global warming, etc have no clue how the government works (or is supposed to). Meanwhile, it's the democrap congress that's responsible for it. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think Bush is the best thing since sliced bread or anything, but he's not responsible for the mess we're in.

Somebody will sure have to cause we won't be able to once he takes our guns. :(

Talked to my brother-in-law the other night (staunch Obama supporter) and asked him why he'd be voting for him. His response blew my mind. He stated that he wants to have someone in the oval office who will give him a chance in this country.

Under the last administration, he was able to get not one, but two college degrees, have the ability to do what he loves as his occupation, and begin to raise a family making more money than he had ever made before, while not paying a dime of interest on his school loans for the next several years. He quit his job making good money in NC so that he wouldn't have to put up with the headache of managing people on a daily basis, and went to work in a retail store making less than 1/3 of the money he made before.

Now, I'm no brain surgeon, but I think that taking a pay cut, and hoping that the next President will give you a "chance" after you threw your chance out the window is just plain idiotic.

To get to the point of this quote, I saw on MSN today that the only retail item not hit by the economic downturn was firearms... Stockpile 'em while you can boys. The day is coming where we can no longer defend ourselves, but I guess we can all have "hope" that Hussein will come and rescue us all...
"Change" is coming alright, and I just hope we don't all get killed in the process.
