I heard the driver of Scheids Dragster get kicked out from Gales on the Banks Booth ... any explanations? Thanks

Exactly what do you think a trade show's purpose is? Banks is a member of SEMA, and put up a great display.

Somehow I doubt if Scheid would be at the booth looking to buy Banks products.

I would not go to a booth just to screw with the shop. I stopped by the Banks booth and checked out their displays and the new dragster. But I saw Gale was busy talking with potential customers so I didn't try to interrupt him.

I'm not a Banks groupie, but I'm not one of the rabid AntiBanks minion either. I can't see that as being pro-diesel. I don't screw with anyone who is not deliberately trying to harm our racing efforts.

Keep in mind, there is always a "target". The "dog-pile slam" behavior might not affect you today, but when you become the "target", perhaps you will get a better idea why it is a dead end, and helps nobody.

So Cal.
So why did you guys remove the our dual fueler module off the dragster? Was it attracting to much attention?

I guess its good enough to run the engine on but not good enough to display the whole time at sema.

Looks like you do not like Banks. Any explanations?

Not so much any explinations other then he kept interupting several important conversations to argue about how our engine runs. While, at first, Mr. Banks tolerated it, but he kept it up so Mr. Banks asked him to leave. He didn't seem to come into the booth to learn anything he just came in with a chip on his shoulder. If he had simply waited to ask his questions (instead of constantly intrupting) it most likley woudn't have been a problem.

Jbarker, sorry I was little bit harsh ...

Mike L. I have my story with Banks but I think it will not fit here ...

Sorry for hijacking the thread ... ;)

....because we aren't using any of your hardware on this engine. Our pump mounting, hardline plumbing, adapters and controls are nothing like a production truck.

Question:
You guys were showing up to 550hp on the marine engine. Is there any internal work or is that on a stock bottom end?

Nice display at SEMA guys. I wish I would have been able to talk/meet a few of you banks guys but you all always seemed busy lol.

That looks very cool, anything that makes people take notice of diesel racing who wouldnt have normally is a good thing. There is precious few diesel dragsters and the high profile of Banks is just going to give more attention everyone elses.
