Ballistic Fab is a joke

No, s480 wouldnt do me much more good unless i had a built motor and a 464 or 366. Be that as it may for ballsitic, im not the only one come to find out whos had issues with them. ive done some talkin around with friends and fab shop owners they have had good and bad luck with them for such reasons as i explained. if they have big clients, then they need to decide what way they want to go with they're business whether it be for dealers only or up their customer service to the everyday joe. Either way, i got my stuff, got no offer to make anything right after a few big hints (pretty much came out and asked them to cut shipping), and i wont be goin back. i spend ALOT in the stuff they sell and while it may not be what these big guys spend, someone else will get richer off me. I dont get pissed easy but damn they hit the right buttons

Thats understandable. Have you looked at the other setups? I am sure you have but pretty much everyone is going with the same design when it comes to t-bars. If they are not built right its a waste of money IMO. Hope it works out though.

yes and ive concidered many but this is the cheapest, easiest to install, and very functional. the ONLY other type of traction bar id run is a ladder bar type setup with two solid connections at the axle and the come to one point with a heim/johnny joint at the point mounted on a shackle.

The superlift bar posted above wont work very well as it will still allow wheel hop (unless theres a stop inside that slip tube) and that procomp one will creak and mone pretty bad under articulation plus tear up the bushings.

We're building traction bars. Those bars do nothing.

Hate to burst your bubble but those bars are no different than anything else. The only thing that you could do differently in terms of function is have a side with a threaded link to adjust preload.

He was saying there's a difference between those bars and "traction bars". I'm saying other than a threaded link they both serve the same purpose and a threaded link won't necessarily give you "traction". Look at a poly bushed four link.. lots of traction no threaded links..

It takes a while on my order they seemed to drag it out cause it was outa stock or somthing...but I ordered a bunch of the 3" joints from them and they have taken alot of abuse on the rocks with absolutly no problems they make a top notch product...they also threw in rebuilds for each joint since the order took so long on their own free will didnt even tell me they were gonna but had it written on the invoice when I got em...so all in all they did right by me:thumb:

Well traction bars are done and they work nicely. they are quite, still allow full flex, and took care of some vibs i got after the new found power from the twins. Sure does make the shifts feel much smoother too. I knew i had axle wrap but hell, didnt know it was as bad as it was lol. i always attributed my shimmys to the 2 peice drive shaft. last pic is for mike L :D . traction bars are a great thing to have in these high hp trucks. wish i would have done them sooner

its hard to tell the heat line in those tabs from welding but i burned them in good, i brushed most of it off with the scotch bright wheel prepping for paint. oh and the bolts are too short, gettin longer ones tomorrow

I can see multiple dimples from wire the on both of those welds? Those joints are sweet.

Thats cause both tabs are stitched. The other u-bolt plate is continuous on the tabs (no pic, phone died before i got the pic).

I was planning on welding tabs directly onto the axle tube so that the bars were parallel with the frame.... I guess with the johnys it doesnt really matter?

na it dont really matter, as long as you dont put too much angle on the joint so it has some room to still flex. I did have to put a little bit of an angled cope where i welded the poly bushing onto the chomoly, this way it keeps the bushing straight and stops any premature wear
