I wouldn't mess with it. I mean it's not like anyone has ever had a crank fail or anything in a Duramax. Who has ever heard of harmonics in an engine causing issues anyway?

Besides, that few hundred dollars you save could buy some beer, a pack of redman, and at least a 27" exhaust tip.

So yeah I would just skip that totally unnecessary step of balancing. And don't forget the 250 additional horsepower, stock transmission safe, smoke and lope tune!!!
