ok i started my truck and high idle cicked on and my truck just started hazeing blue smoke
i am think my turbo seal is shot
i am useing oil and i was wonder if my thinking was correct blue smoke =turbo seal bad it haze at idle ane at all rpms
is it cheaper to just rebuild stocker or if it costs about the same to get a aftermarket i dont need super big turbo one that is dd friendly and can tow with low egts

that doesn't sound like your turbo is shot? my '05 will haze a good amount in the winter in elevated idle mode.

are there funky noises when you drive it?

The best things to check for if the turbo oil seals are shot would be to pull the down pipe loose and check for oil , as well as the IC tube on the drivers side .

i had some wat a problem like that my pvc was bad and is was just suckin in alot of oil vapers i rerouted the pcv problem was solved then

i pulled off the i c tube and i could have filled a dixie cup full of oil i think sheis shot shot and on high idle its a heavy haze of blue so its leaning towards turbo more info welcome
