Bad rattle

well I am now positive it was the dipstick. After bending it back a little bit a couple of days ago, the rattle hasnt come back. Now I think I will look into finding one of those driver side dipsticks so i never have to deal with this again.

I just had my turbo replaced (at 55K miles) and was just notified by Chevy garage that they discovered the turbo mount was cracked. They should have noticed this when removing the turbo - right?:confused:

I found mine was a combination of tired IC pipe boots and the fuel filter head spacer allowing the IC pipe to bang on a fuel line. Took a while to zero in on that one. I was looking and wiggling all up and down the exhaust system.

Probably easiest to start your own thread versus one 3 years old. Wonder how that happened, kind of ironic.

Anyways, yes they should have. The Mount is integral to the turbine housing and short of dropping one from a 2 story building, you'd have to try to break that thing. Very heavy.
