What's a warranty??

If this is the case I would want to see the base MSRP drop on a new vehicle since I can almost assume the 100k warranty is factored into the base price.

Uh im pretty sure the Duramax engine itself still will be 100k warranty.

Just the Allison and transfer case, and all GM gas engines get cut down to 60k.

Didn't dodge/Cummins do something like this around 06'?

I could see doing this if the price tag dropped substantially. I know when looking for a car for my better half, warranty was a big factor in what to buy. When its out of warranty, its gone. I work on my own shit enough, don't need her car to work on too

I know the manufacturers are on the hook for 5 years for emissions by the feds, are their any mileage restrictions on that?

I mean doesn't ford and Ram do this already it's not that big of a deal.

Most people and dare I say MOST people who can buy brand new trucks get rid of them when the new models come out or upgrade every 3-4 year!

But I know a few out there that run them until their warranties up at 100k but since you're trading in a truck earlier with 60k on it you'd think one would get a better deal then at a 100k just my 2 cents
