Well tonite I tore into it. Everything is ready for it to come out except for the two fuel lines and the engine grounds.
I couldve gotten further but my tranny jack decided not to go up. Probably something stupid, but its still under warrenty, NAPA is coming tomorrow to fix it.
I talked to guy and some others today and ive kinda decided on a somewhat mild yet strong build.
Carrillos (It was nice to get the full story from Guy on why they are so cheap now)
Delip/Coat my pistons if they are still good, Guy will be doing this
Main Studs
And ill be having curtis balance it and key the crank and cam. Theres a few other things that may happen like a damper but im trying to keep it low cost yet using the right parts the first time. I have no issues tearing it down and redoing it, but dont want to buy parts twice.
And since the truck will be sitting for awhile theres a lot of other things i wanna do that i never had time to do and with the motor out of the way they will be easy.
Clean up my wiring.
Clean and paint the frame
Go through the trans checking everything out
Paint the motor and valve covers
and plenty of other little things that ill find to do.
Once our 10 pallets of seed are planted ill probably park the truck there, next to the lift and just dink around on it every night.
