Bad fuel milage after injector install???

I've had my injectors done about 2 months ago and I used to get 21mpg now I'm only getting 13 , the other day I went to start it and it ran for 10 seconds and died , so I primed the fuel filter up and it fired right up , any help getting me pointed in the right direction would be really appreciated , thanks !!!

No lift pump? You running a plastic fuel filter or an oe style metal one? Not making oil are you?

No lift pump ,stock plastic ac delco filter , and not making any oil

The fuel filter was also changed when the injectors were done

Oh btw it does surge at idle sometimes and sometime idling in drive , it's not a lope but definitely a noticeable surge , sorry I left so much out of my original post !!!

How long ago did you get the 21 MPG? The average now since 2007 and the new ultra low sulphur fuel is closer to 16. Now throw in the winter blend and cold weather it will drop even more. Do you know if the injectors you had installed used new nozzle tips? The mileage drop could be many things. The surge is most likely a sticking fuel regulator on the CP3 pump.

From what I understood the injectors were brand new not even remans , and I'm going by the avg eco on the truck but my wallet can definitely tell that fuel mileage has dropped, which I had got them done in mid November idk when they which to winter blend tho
