Did he check the injector balance rates?

No. I think he was just wanting to make sure they could all be shut off, I think maybe to see if one was hanging up?? Anyway, he wanted to try the easiest things first. He hasn't charged me anything yet, so I was thankful for that. I think I will have him check rates next though.

Q: If I happen to just have a single injector bad, would you change just the one or spend the friggin money and do them all? Who the hell has $3000 just laying around for injectors anyway? I mean, come on.....

With a tech2 he should of been able to check the balance rates fairly quickly, just as easy as shutting each injector off one by one.

At any rate, based on the return rate, balance rates and your pocket book I would replace the bad ones for sure but keep in mind it is possible that the "good" injectors are not far behind or, they could last forever it would be a crap shoot.

Yes, 7years of service or 200k. One of our shop trucks had 175k on it and bad injectors and we had to pay for them because it was 2 months past the 7 year cut off.
