Has anyone shipped an axle? What carrier did you use, where was it shipped from and to, and how much did it cost?

Freightquote is a great place to get priceing. I have used the twice to ship motors and everything went smooth. If you can drop off or pick up at a local terminal or a Buisness address it alot cheaper!

Well mine weights 7800 but it is attached to the truck :roflmao: sorry I couldn't resist. Try giving Randy's ring and pinion a call I bet they could help. Is the axle coming or going? None of my business and it doesn't matter lol just curious. If you use U-ship maybe you'll get lucky and one of the DD board members will end up hauling it. I think we have a few guys here who do the hot shot thing.
Here is another thought is there a hauling thread here on the board? If not maybe there should be.:thumb: D-max parts hauled by D-max enthusiasts with D-maxs for D-max enthusiasts. Wow that was a mouth full :roflmao:

Dmax parts hauled by Dmax enthusiast probably = parts delivered intact. I'm tired of shipping stuff and having it destroyed by the shipper.

We may have something here. Would also be somewhat of a meet and greet :thumb:
Vendors and members alike could help support other member who become transporters. Just an idea what do you all think?

I think its a great idia.id give my money to a member to take care of my parts rather than a shipper to destroy them!just costed me $500 to get a short block over the Canada/us border.

I'm in. Always down to help a fellow dmaxer out. We can do a state to state kind of thing like a baton run.

Off topic but sorry brother. Saw the other thread and I feel for you. What a crappy outcome.
