With stock injectors I got a consistent 21-21.5 running 70-72 on the interstate, dropped to around 20 at 75. Mixxed driving would be in the 15 range which was mostly around town with some spirited driving thrown in. Haven't checked it with the 45 over sacs. It seems to do alot better towing now than before.
Is that all? My buddy has a 12 valve Cummings that does way better then that. While towing even. Never grosses less then 111,000 pounds either.

i'm selling a lot of tools & things i'm no longer using. I have 20 nucs ( 5 frame bee hives used to populate new hives ) presold, & a carpentry side job booked so I should be able to replace my injectors soon. this truck runs great so i'm sure there's nothing majorly wrong with it. I tend to drive like matt but i'm making a conscience effort to slow down some I drove 40 miles round trip this morning & used the cruise control & ran an even 60 m.p.h. that was so f*^king painful to do. I hate driving slow. especially when this GMC can lope along at 80mph so easily. my 97' powerstroke got 17/19 with my foot in it & 21/24 if I ran easy. I did notice that as they keep messing ( cleaning ) our fuel my mileage went down. when I 1st bought that truck I was getting 19-21 in town & up to 25 on the hard road. once on a jobsite I filled a tank with off road fuel cuz' I was running on fumes. I actually got 28 on the highway & the truck RAN.
with what's going on now I definitely will not buy a new truck. what i'd really like to find is a 72-79 ford crew cab with a 300 inline 6 cylinder. very few pollution devices & I can easily work on it myself. But every time I find one it's been 'tricked out' buy some amateur &/or has a 460 v8 in it.

MPG? Depends how I'm feeling that day.
Think I'm at like 17.5 right now. 75% of that is highway. 90% of it in traffic.
