1. I am to cheap to pay some one else to do anything I can do myself
2. It will probablly be done better if I do it rather than someone who does not really care about my vehicle as I do.

Im also one of the guys that fixes others stuff....Good and bad! Even with a lift and special tools, even "WE" feel like pickin up a jackhandle and beatin the tar outta somethin at times! Stressful, it shows, 26 and goin bald already:rofl: On the other hand theres alot of satisfaction, im pretty popular with freinds and family when somthin breaks. I fix Everything i can myself, the only stuff i basically dont do is machine work and a few things of that nature, and thats cause i dont have the machines
When the stress gets to ya, stop and take a break!

For the longest time I was afraid to work on my truck. All the wires, sensors, and shat I found very intimidating. Right now I'm slowly coming around, now with every job I tackle no matter how small, I get a little more confident. This year will be a true test though as I am planning more in depth mods.

i'll still do 98% of the work to my vehicles, sometimes on jobs where i'd like to learn and watch i'll call my buddy at the dealership over after work or on weekends. I didnt wanna mess up my cam install so i had him do it and show me all the tricks along the way.

Or when i just need more than 1 person i'll throw 20 out and a case of beer. My dad is starting to get into what i spend all my time in the shop doing though and he's wanting to learn and be able to do stuff himself with me teaching him. He though putting on the duramax's exhaust was fun, and when i was working on our graintruck he thought that was fun to so he's warming up to modification and DIY rather than calling the dealer for his truck or farm equipment issues now.

On that note...i really need a moveable lift. im not two concerned if its a 4post or a 2 post or even one of those 1 side deals but i need one. I'm feelin too damn old for only being 20 and its hard for me to raise my 2000 up enough being lowered to get underneath it.

I enjoy working on the truck when I choose to work on it ...if it breaks and I have to work on it to get to the job in the morning I dont like it
