The pull was fun. After my first hook, I think I learned a lot about my truck. Once I took off I got a hop and got a little scared and got out of it then rolled back into it, then another hop where I hesitated again, then the truck hit 3rd and was smooth so I hammered down. I felt I pulled pretty good and I know now what I will do differnt and I think that will help a ton. Tommy and I pulled in a pretty tough class, but none the less it was mainly a learning experiance for me. I enjoyed it and will pull again. I weighed in at 7,950lbs. and my hitch was topped out at just under 24". My A/C line somehow managed to get itself into alternator pully where it put a nice cut in the rubber part of the line. Awesome, no A/C, lol. Oh well I am happy thats the only problem I had.
Thanks:
To Pat and Kat for borowing me a hitch and giving me a few tips for the track.
To Chad (Alligator Performance), for help in the pits getting my truck ready to pull, this guy cant stay out from under a truck to save his life.
To Adam and his buddy (I forgot a name, lol) for the extra sand I needed, it was needed and they brought plenty lol.
To Johnny, Mike L. Chad and family, Jaclyn, my sister, Darren, Wes, and everyone else that came out to watch, what fun would it be if we didn't have anyone out there to watch us beat on our trucks and cheer us on, lol. Also Wes for video and helping out with every single thing he can.
Thanks Tommy and Jason for pulling. You guys make it fun to come out to events.
To Craig and his guys, for organizing a great event. Helping us new guys out and making it fun and enjoyable. Thanks Craig!
Also thanks (pffffttt) to Unervisal Stuidos Security, (we had the pleasure of meeting this elite team of proffesonials on Monday). These guys are top notch law enforcement officals, they work long tough hours and deal with only the roughest parking lot crimes, as they have to patrol the beat with bicycle helmets on a 3 wheel segway. Be carful out there guys, its a tough crime filled world out there. (inside joke).
Do tell about the Universal Studios Security team.
Great pull Mike , Thanks for the complete black out on the 14 frwy .
You , Tommy , Jason , and your sister all at once and me on my bike behind you all . Nice !
I was tasting soot even after dinner .
Ive been blasted before , but that was the ultimate . 4 trucks on race tunes then Holy Moly ..... choke ..... choke .... choke
Always great to see you guys , dinner was great . Wes a pleasure as always .
Johnny
I heard you can lay down a sweet wheelie too Johnny. That would have been a site to see, a buck twenty on one wheel weaving in and out of traffic.
Mike, we had a great time watching you and the rest of the DD pullers. Congrats to all those who had the balls to hook this weekend (you too Kat ). The event was put on well too, no hicups at all, track looked good (from what I could tell) and alot of spectators in the stands. It was just too bad Mike couldn't have pulled in the work stock class.
Also, it was nice seeing everyone out there, Tommy, Jason, Mike L., Johnny, Pat and Kat, Malibu. Really good turnout for the Duramax Crowd.
Do tell about the Universal Studios Security team.
thanks for all ur help and support as well chad them parts worked good

sled pull was kickass, drive home was fk'in sweet. i'll let mike put up the pic, but he managed 144mph (gps) racing a couple street bikes outside of baker.
also set off the radar detector with one of those digital speed signs. mike goes hammer down, watch the numbers climb and then it hits a 100 mph and shuts off. laughed about that for a while.
great meeting all you socal people's again. good fun and good class. thanks for the hospitality. hope to see you soon....
Cool Tommy, you gonna pull again?
Turbo sounded sweet, btw.
