I just had to switch to the billet adapter since he is missing parts to the whole kit and won't ship anytime soon. Looks like the adapter use the stock filter head and will now take a CAT filter, anyone use this setup?

I purchased a nicktane filter head from.him but should have just bought a factory cat filter head it would have been a lot cheaper. Go to your local big truck parts dealer tell them u want a 2 micron cat filter and the filter head with it. Might cost $40 I have a water filter on my cummins also works great

For you guys running any 1"-14 filter, like the Cat 1R0749 or 1R0750, take a look at the Donaldson P553203 and P553207. Both are rated at 3 microns absolute, and are drainable water separators. The 3207 is about 1" longer than the 3203.

The Cat filters are no longer true "2 micron absolute" filters. Nothing about the filters changed, just the industry testing standard. Under the new standard, they're rated at 4 microns. I'm not bashing the Cat filters in any way, but they're not water separators, which is one of the biggest hazards to our injectors.
