I'm trying to decide if I want to try a larger exhaust housing. I'd like to hear feedback from anyone running the larger exhaust housing on a GT4094. I'm wanting to reduce drive pressure and exhaust temps without giving-up TOO much spool-up. What do ya' think????? Ed.

Guess I should have spelled that out in original post.
Currently running 1.06. I was thinkin' that Garrett had a 1.15 and I was on my way to their site to confirm but you just saved me a search. That 1.28 is gonna' be a big differance, I assume??? I hate to install that thing and then not like it..............anybody ran the 1.28 yet????

I run the PPE 4094 and its spools faster than stock with the right tunning! EGT are all about tunning too. It goes hand in hand.

bluemax, I see 1760* (max recall) on a 1/8th mi. drag. Sometimes it'll stay under 1700. Sled hooks yield the same.
BTW, I'm more concerned about drive pressure due to restriction in the small turbo.

Brayden, thanks for the input.............but I think I'm pretty happy with the tuning. That has been tweaked for E.T.'s
BTW, I don't claim to be "MR. Tuner", but I know somebody who is.;)

Back on track here...........the info I seek is for the various housings and how they affect drivability. I know the 1.28 A/R would help at the track, but how bad will it hurt spool-up with the toy-hauler in tow??? Thanks, Ed.

If I could get a 1.15..........I think that would work good. But I'm not too sure about the 1.28.
If I switch to a 4294, then I can get a 1.15 AND be just under the limit of our STPA 2.8" class!! But, here again, I'm worried about towing manner's.

I can't tell you for sure, but i dont know about towing manners. I know mine does not like to tow very much. Its either spooled out not but regardless the EGTs are not out of control

I am useing the .95 housing and I have got the egts way down from when I first started trying to tune it. I am seeing about 1400 in about a half mile boosted launch with it. I don't have a drive pressure gauge so I'm not sure about that though. I share the same thinking as Brayden, it has worked for me so far.:)

The last time I checked.... that killed hp.:cool2:

Not necessarily....at least not if done properly, and the right amount of logging and tuning time is applied. :)

I'm sure given the right amount of time and the truck sitting on the dyno right there with him Tony would be able to get the egts down and power up considerably too, he knows what he's doing....;):D
