That's something else.. duratothemax explained why we have trouble with lockup in a other thread. He is right I've known the same thing for about a year. And pretty sure it was him who I learned it from.

5 speeds won't ever lock in first anyways as they sit. So there's no worrying about it.

Yes they can.
If the tcm sees a certain % of difference
in input and output speed it will not let lockup occur as to prevent damage.....as power increases so does this problem
Anyone have a wiring diagram for a 6 speed box? I'd like one or a link to one please!
So when is the optimal time to force lock the TC? A certain gear? Rpm? Or boost level? Without tow haul on my TC will not lock up. My truck will just sit at 3600 rpms and not do anything till I let out. With tow haul on the TC locks before I can get on top of the charger.
