This is true, Mike was a big help to me. I am sure he got tired of me calling him, but he helped out everytime I called.
Today I found out what you meant - poor guy. I called him RIGHT in the middle of something everytime I called!
Thank god for him though; he totally saved my bacon.
Well, it's IN and it ROLLS ...
Guys, when the thing shifted gears I almost went through the top of the cab in my truck with excitement.
The process nearly gave me a heart attack... I know I over thinked it and that was why, but, the valve body came down and I realized there was no turning back...
Thank GOD (and Mike) all turned out well - I think the hardest part after the phone calls to Mike was getting that DARN valve keeper back in the shifter notch. I had to get my wife out there with a floor jack (I'm too round to get under the truck and actually move, and had no lift... i HIGHLY recommend a lift) to keep it in place for me while I maneuvered it a bit, then gave up, then maneuvered it a bit, and then gave up... then the last time it caught and I lined it up and bolted it in...
Got the fluid in, did the flush (Cakewalk) ... Checked my tranny fluid at 158 degrees was 3/4 of the way up from the cold hash marks right under the bottom of the 'hot' hashmark... tomorow I have to tow a trailer, so pray for me!
What a day!! :coolspot:
I'm tired, but, SO glad I got it done and it's working!!
I took a bunch of pictures, so I'll have to edit them and put them up... a trans-go Jr/ Hoot method DIY all in one!
Tomorow I have a horse show/schooling thing to goto about 4 hours away, so PRAY for me I did it right...
