I had a set and loved them,They didn't have to be machined out to fit my ported heads the uppipes where 2 inch the bad part is they wouldn't clear my down pipe but I found out after I sold them that Tony Burkhardts stainless down will clear them I wish I still had them they were very nice manifolds and uppipes.I sold them to Eric (Wisconsonhick1) and he loves them,he just squished his down pipe to fit.
When they were first released they had issues with the bellows. As I've spent a lot of time around the purple palace, I can report to you that they insist their new bellows are much stronger and are holding up in high HP trucks across the US.
Even still, I liked the design of the PPE units a little better.

At what power level do they start to make a difference?
I had a set of aftermarket manifolds, and I didn't notice anything other than idle EGR recovery.. At the minimum id only get a set of uppipes..
