I could be wrong I am as far from a expert as you can get with these transmissions. That is just the info I gathered from comparing parts and talking to ATS.

When I put the PPE stage 5 kit in mine that previously had a Ats stage 2 I had no issues until I got to my c1's and c2's. I thought maybe there was something I missed or missassembled so I borrowed a complete untouched input drum and ended up with the same clearances. After a thicker steel for the C2's and machining the top plate for the c1's everything was within spec. I also bought a new p1 drive flange and stock bearing to replace the ATS one. But again I am by no means a expert on the subject I'm just stating what I ran into when I did mine. Mine also isn't in yet so who knows it may not work at all. I'll find out soon though.

First of all you will need a stock sun gear cover for the front drum because ATS machines theirs down to fit 7 clutches. I suggest buying a complete clutch kit from either Suncoast or PPE which will give you all the machined pressure plates and proper clutch clearance.
ATS does use the Transgo trim valves but they do not drill the holes in the seperator plate. If you are using the copilot do not drill the plate. I also don't like the hollow pressure regulator valve ATS uses and suggest a stock valve. You can continue to use their pressure regulator spring if you are making 600 + hp but I don't recommend it for a daley driver as it is too much. If you're going with a stock pr valve, you will need a modified Transgo converter flow valve so there is no pressure nockdown on TCC apply. I also recommend a different converter.

A lot

Did we really evolve from apes? If so what did the Ape evolve from salamanders?

With the amount of hair growing out of my ears and back as I age I believe there is some credibility to that we evolved from apes.

Nonetheless looks like you answered the question about the ATS conversion possibility! :thumb:

What issues might one run into using ATS's valve instead of the stock one?

Thanks for the info/history lesson/great stories tonight Mike I really appreciate it  It also would appear running ATS pump kits and Transgo flow valve together is a good recipe for making a allison run hot.
