Found an Autocal from ATP for sale locally. He says it's tuned for a Cummins
Do I just need a new vin license and dsp5 tunes from ATP to get it to work on my LMM? He's only asking $175, is that a good deal?

I don't know if this is true because I didn't follow thru to find out. I have an Autocal from my '06 and I was told that for me to be able to use it I would have to send it back to the tuner as it was tied to his V2. Once he released it I would be able to load new tunes.
Again...don't know if this is correct.

That's if you swap tuners

Autocals no longer have to be sent to unlink. It can be done remotely. The tuner who carries the link can create an unlink code that can be sent to the owner of the ac to do the unlink process. This just started happening a few months ago in a recent software release.

100$ is fair for a used ac. Then purchase a vin then purchase tuning from a tuner.

Is there a way to tell if the AC will need to be upgraded? That's another $450 cost. If that's the case then I'll pass on the deal. I guess ATP will answer my questions tomorrow.

Well reading it again, the upgrade is for older v2 scanners and not the AC. If I can pick it up for $100 then I think that's the way I'll go.

As has been stated Autocal can be unlinked remotely. I just unlinked mine remotely last week so I can use ATP. The one your looking at sounds like it's linked to ATP so if you use them for tuning you don't have to unlink.

Any software updates are free. I also updated the software on mine last week.

Lastly you should be able to buy a vin license and tune package from ATP and be good to go. I dealt with Dustin and Mike D. They were very helpful.

Thanks for taking my call Dustin, I talked to the guy this morning and picking up that Autocal after work for $100. I'll give you a call so we can setup the tuning package I'm looking for as far as the dsp5 goes. Thanks everyone for all the input.

So I was able to pick up that Autcal for $100 last night. Called ATP and Mike helped me submit my order for the DSP5 tune and also ordered a Cat Adapter. Gonna also be picking up an Airdog II-4g 165 for this setup. Only need to order the airdog and the exhaust and everything will be ready for installation, then its just getting a weekend off to put it all in and get this puppy roaring. Thanks for all the help guys.
