Does your stock intercooler Leak ninja? I've been running twins for 3 yrs and have 58-62lbs of boost with zero issues still. I'd wait till it leaks personally.

I believe the "real benefit" comes with the understanding that everything works as a whole, in the end, everything together makes up for the accumulative total.
If you're looking for bang for the buck mods, the intercooler isn't it. If you're looking to build something that you want to build to be badd, stand the test of time, something that doesn't leave you second guessing "what's gonna happen next" and is just as good or better than the factory, and is ready for what ever you plan next....then IMHO, you have to address damn near every part, and if that's what you want, then the intercooler, manifolds and uppipes and all the intercooler piping, an upgraded trans cooler and a few other key parts should all be in your sights...
no not yet, but its probably due..id rather replace it now before it blows
i realize that all parts should be addressed...im just trying to get an idea of which ones work well in stock form at higher power levels and which ones dont? not trying to cut corners at all! just trying to get a realistic idea of what is working and whats not..whats problematic and whats not..
I enjoyed it! Lol
You sir, might be the only one who will read that monstrosity :spit:
So you are very welcome:hello:
Sorry guys, that post started as a two liner

Lol, your chit never breaks, I don't know how but you got the "honey badger" of the gm trucks:rofl:Does your stock intercooler Leak ninja? I've been running twins for 3 yrs and have 58-62lbs of boost with zero issues still. I'd wait till it leaks personally.
This is how I think about it too, it's just good measure against future issues among other thingsI added an intercooler, and manifolds and pipes when I built my motor, which I am still doing. I have 3" y bridge already and 3" piping, I did it because I don't want to blow a hole in my intercooler, and I figured if it flows more air, and exhaust gases, then everything would be working more efficient.
I enjoyed it! Lol
i agree that every little bit helps and looking at everything as a whole. but when I did my mani/up pipes, and also my IC I did not notice any difference. I bought them because I get a good deal and just wanted to try them. im sure that manifolds and up pipes help relieve drive pressure also but I don't have a gauge to watch that
COCOAL off the top of your head..quick guess what a mani' up pipes, and ic+piping would cost? I can do the research but didnt know if you had a rough number?
Aftermarket IC pipe, manifolds, up pipes, even an aftermarket intercooler? I see lots of guys have it done..but at what point in your build do you stop and say its time for this stuff..? At what point is it absolutely necessary?
Lol, your chit never breaks, I don't know how but you got
I'd say it more knowing what it can and can't do. I'd say it's a lot to do with the driver. And I'd also say, there's tons making same Boost and alot higher hp then I and seem to last just fine.
All I'm sayin, no point for a intercooler unless it's leaking. Many have stockers yet. I think the way brian sounds, he to is running stockers.

And I'd agree with all you just said...
If I could do it over again, I wouldn't have spent the money at the time I did on the intercooler and manifolds, it would have been much more productive for me to have purchased something like a modded CP3 for a single or a dual fueler kit
Damn it if I don't have to say, you guys tried to caution me at the time, and I didn't listen
Hindsight...
or the ability to really listen to those who've gone before you and deny your desires for eye candy parts and truly seek out go fast parts...
Is always clearer
experience pays, and experience says the intercooler and manifolds are fine for most purposes for 850 hp and/or more...
Again, weigh your values and part with your money cautiously, I was hasty, and while again I am very satisfied with what I've got, it wouldn't be any different and possibly even better (keeping the stock manifolds) and putting those funds elsewhere....
Literally, knowledge is power...:joker:
Ya fass 150, 5/8 pickup, I'm already @ 55lbs of boost
