at a loss, truck wont start after reflash attempt

so I wheeled into my local diesel shop tonight to get Kory's new tuning loaded into my truck. the tune made it part way through uploading, and said failed. Well after that, nothing will communicate with the truck. My edge, his fancy big snap-on scanner, EFI. Nothing. Truck will not start either. We tried letting it sit without batteries hooked up with no luck. Id really like to get my truck off the street during the weekend. Any help would be great.

I was told the lb7 ecm is flakey at best after I got the same code,sounds like you have a pricey door stop,There may be one in garage sale but I hope you get it going for the wknd.

thanks. I was unsure about it, spool up was pretty slow, but Kory told me why spool up was slow with the tuning I had. I was pretty stoked to try out the new tunes. Now it doesnt run at all!

There were some threads on here about recovering an ecm after an issue like this happens. I am not sure if it works on lb7 ecm's though. You may want to look into it.

I believe if a flash fails you arent supposed to do anything, dont even key off. Just try and flash it again right off the bat. Of course if its toasted nothing will work.

well after it failed the first time, we didnt shut the key off. We tried flashing it again and it wouldnt communicate. I guess my next question. What did we do wrong so it doesnt happen again?

You didn't do anything imo the newest software for efi live is the pita in ass I never ever had a problem till the latest 4 or 5 versions it's screwed up my ecm on a flash and another's both were full flashes I believe idaho rob even post ed this being a problem or of some kinda problem with the newer releases and lb7s. I'll see if I can find the link. Also try towing it to gm and having them do a full re flash if they can

It was the serial numbers being gone this is what mine did it erased the Vin as well.

would it have to be towed to a gm dealer? My closest GM dealer is 30 miles away. Wondered if maybe I could removed the ECM.

Swap ecm's and program the new vin in it,That's the road I had to take when I got the 0101.dont waste your money on a tow because the tech2 wont comm either.I wasted that money on a tow and tune from gm as well.

ah. I contacted Socal diesel. I'm hoping he can fix this thing. All stoked to try out the new tunes with the 475 and now I have no truck at all!

That does suck to have a beautiful truck and cant drive it.Hope you get it fixed soon and let us know how your tunes are,Im still on stock tuning with my twins and cant wait for some hot ones in there.You said yours spools slow so are you stock tuned as well?

na I have built transmission tunes. Kory told me the MAF sensor will not allow the truck to fuel until it sees air flow, so thats why it seems slow on the bottom.

Are you the customer Paul is presently dealing with on this issue? If you are not, please log a support ticket on our help desk.

It is almost impossible to kill an LMM ECM. Are you sure it is dead? If you would like assistance in recovering your ECM, or at least testing it fully, please log a support ticket. Link can be found on our home page www.efilive.com

I dont know, just a thought.. But ya did'nt blow the Fuse that The OBD Port is connected to did you.? I remember one of my trucks, I could'nt get a connection with anything.. Come to find out I had a bad fuse that powers that port and it was blown.

I doubt that would cause a no start issue? what fuses? The cig lighter fuse is fine. I know that.
