The other night i installed the main bearings and crank. I also installed the main studs and main cap side bolts. For some reason i got the studs without instructions and was wondering if someone has the tq sequence on tightening these studs and bolts? They were already tightened down by the machine shop, when they line honed the block. Any help will be greatly apreciated, thanks

ARP's instructions say to follow the manufacturers torque sequence, which is posted in the GM Specs section.

thanks, thats what i was thinking... How about the side bolts?
I torqued the studs first then did the side bolts. Again I did middle out. Not what GM lists for side bolts but works for me.
You need to torque them the same as the machine shop did.
I agree. What you should actually do is be there and use your wrench to torque things. This insures the same forces as at final assembly.

That makes more sence to me.
