While everyone tends to hate insurance companies, in this case, I think if the insurance company has to pay, they are getting screwed.

His intent was to defraud them, and normally a contract that involves illegal activities is void.

I can't believe they do not have enough evidence to charge the wife in the murder. Her email responses indicate she was not shocked to find out he wasn't dead, so she knew about the plan.

x2. then she's all shocked and saddened when they tell her the second time.

it's scary to think about what you might not know about someone.

no doubt she should burn in hell with him.

I sort of disagree. He had a policy and died. He was outside the 2 year suicide clause. The actuarial tables actually probably account for goofy "DateLine" worthy material and they should pay.

And I hope they do pay. And I hope that the Newman family's inevitable civil judgment gets to go to the front of the line of creditors. It is the only way they will ever see a red cent of compensation. After they get paid, the rest should go to us (for the Medicare fraud) and Denise should end up with nothing....

While I doubt it will happen as a "moral compass" seems to be a genetic defect in Ari and Denise's family's, it might not be a bad plea for her to get off scot-free in return for turning the life insurance over to the Newmans.

If this is true about the suicide clause I agree they should pay, even if she did end up with the money I rather see her with it than another stupid insurance company, but then again they will just pass it along to us with higher premiums:mad:

Money wont bring him back, but the kid had a dream to make a lot of money, and I am sure he would have supported his family if he ever did make it big time. Like I said the insurance should hand the family the check, rub it in her face a little too while at it. I know she knew about the plan, but it took a lot of planning to make it look like she didnt. And whats with the close friend thats suppose to get a million of the insurance money....nothing odd there? "hey man, If I ever die, I'm giving you a mil cause your a good friend" WTF, my ass, I think there was a lot of work involved in this and there were other people involved, Ari could not pull that off alone....

I understand but it's money that caused this. IF there is any money to be paid out in Life Insurance, which I doubt will ever happen do to the criminal aspect, it doesn't belong to the wife that is for dam sure!

I believe that it was only the two involved ,husband and wife. How the hell they thought they would get away with it was beyond me. The best friend was probably just that and probably was in his will or something.

Hopefully they continue to investigate and charge her with something. Whether or not SHE participated in the actual act she WAS fully aware what the plan was! And POSSIBLY part of the planning as she was prepared or ready to reap the rewards and or benifit. Real POS

I do feel sorry for the family that lost their son. Horrible

My daughter recognized him right away and said how cool he was. She went with Ari the one night we got pizza while @ Merchant....Then we watched the show and is all freaked out now.

Scary to be that close to a killer and not know it, eh? I dont remember the guy, and am glad I dont.

Side note: Tell your daughter that Hannah said Hi. They had fun together that weekend.
