Are all stock G-80 diffs the same?

Bought a complete rearend out if 03 dmax. When I took diff cover off the diff looked different than what was in my truck.. It doesn't have the little cam across the spider gears with the weights and springs. What's the deal

And that means??? It's not gonna lock up like mine... Or.... It's not good to sled pull or drag with...! No good burnouts??

My truck only spins one wheel. I have yet to pull the cover off but I'm afraid it's going to be an open diff

Welder will fix that right up... Not gonna be great on the street though

I've welded 2 diffs in my old mud trucks. Don't plan on doing that to my my rig though. I'll pull off the cover one of these days to conform. I swear the code in my glove box said it was posi. Maybe the govi lock broke somehow.

I had an open diff in my first LB7, that was frustrating in the snow and mud, part of the reason I sold it.

Open Diff for sure. You could always buy a drop in locker that goes in place of the spiders like a mini spool would. But they are clanky at times.
