Anyone vented their ccv into the exhaust?

I was actually looking at building 2 catch cans that would hopefully draw some of the oil out. Letting the exhaust burn it off seems like a better option though. To me anyway.

I have thought about doing this with mine.. Right now it down and tube are zip ties to the torrsion bar crossmember.. And the amount of time I spend above 50% throttle while towing

If I had to do this, I would run a sealed puke tank from the valve covers then use a pan evac for vac source on the can. Or just use the OE source of vac for the can. Either way removes oil contaminants from entry to motor and still pulls a vac from crankcase.

My turbo gasser just has breathers and that shit is messy as hell.

I think I'm just going to make a set of these out of 3/4 pipe and weld directly in the dp. I'll make the little venturi slice. The tip seems to be cut on a more sharp angle than 45, maybe a 50 or 55 but the weld in bung is 45.

I built a catch for mine, I don't drive much so it took about 5 months for the oil to clear from the turbo from the stock PCV setup, no more oil residue at turbo/hotpipe boot.

I went to clean my the stack and change the coolant and found I could not lift the radiator/intercooler by myself, what I did find was oil was collecting in the bottom of the intercooler and have a Mishimoto intercooler in the garage waiting to be installed and curious to see how much oil/film is in there...

The intake track would be the only vacuum source. I don't want to plumb it into the intake even with a car charger can. If it fails I fill the motor with oil and junk.

That's a nice setup. You have 2 5/8 in and a 3/4 out?

let's see if this file attaches...
ok it did

you can see the stem and check valve in the DP in this pic here

Just a little FYI.

Those style systems are normally for open exhaust. A muffler or a cat would surely make the system useless.

2-1/2" and 1-1", had I pulled the stock PCV pipe completely off and looked/measured before purchasing parts I could have used 1/2" at the turbo inlet and adapted it to 1", the 1" hose was difficult to route and expensive, here is a pictures of the OEM PCV pipe at the turbo inlet.

if you run a pan evac, it will draw a slight vacuum, may not be much but it will be something.

Not much to fail with a puke can, add draining it to the normal oil change procedure and it will be fine.

True and if I have to I will. Think I'll swing by the part store this week for some couplers to make the weld in bungs. Gonna go that rout first. Give me a chance to waste money on heat wrap and wrap the dp. Lol
