Bullfrogjohnson (Travis iirc) has been running this turbo for about a year now, hopefully he will chime in.
what info do you want?
Saw this thread for the first time... hopefully it isn't too late...
I ran an S464SX ETT with a 1.10 housing on my puller/daily driver this last season. As far as street manners go, it is going to be slower to spool than a stocker...but not too terrible. The only thing I didn't like was that climing 5%+ grades, you won't feel much without getting into it. With cruise control on, speed would start to dip and then engine would rev to bring speed back up as it dropped a gear. With a modded LBZ pump and 40 overs, it would dump a ton of smoke...I messed with tuning for a couple weeks and was able to dampen it out significantly...
I don't have any HP numbers with the 464, but I dyno'ed at 482 HP and 981 with a stock LB7 turbo and pump. I bumped up to the 2.6 class in SW PA and lost on average by about 50 to 75 feet. I swapped for the 464 with 40 overs and the modded LBZ pump and pulled within 10 feet of first in the 2.6 class. This was without a locker in the front, and the top trucks are pushing 650 -700 HP with lockers and dual fuelers (Danville stage 2's, S475's, and Silver bullets mostly). However, tuning was the biggest key to open it up without having dual fuelers...
I am going bigger for next season, or else I would gladly run this charger again... It isn't going to win COTPC or any of the NADM events, but it makes great power for the price!
It moves enough air to clean up 40 overs and a single pump with an Arson kit or similar setup on the big end.
If you have any other questions, let me know...
