I just installed a fuel pressure gauge and was kind of surprised by the low PSI reading. Is anyone here running them and have a fuel pressure gauge?
I have 2 of them in parallel. With the engine idling and one pump running gets 3-4 psi and both 6-7 psi. I get about 1 higher with the engine off. I can easily drop to 0 psi with both pumps running. It appears to be at least part of the black smoke problem I have been having with the big tune because it starts to pour out smoke after it hits the 0 mark.
I haven't changed the filters yet (since installing the gauge) but the truck has been running the same since I changed them and it was less than 10k miles ago.
