My hydro boost was leaking like a quart a day.......for like a month. Then it just stopped leaking.

True story.

Not sure as I opted for the royal purple.

I ran the BG stuff in mine after the DEX 3, and the royal purple was night and day better than the BG. I even put the BG additive in since I had some which helped, but still wasn't great. I know it doesn't help with me having the old style steering box and a 600 RPM idle, but with the royal purple I have good steering all the time now.

I might have to try that. That's all my Sami buddies tell me to use when I go with the Psc pump for my power steering on the zuk (stock Chevy pump isn't cuttin it anymore on there) and they swear by it

Did this yesterday wish I had done it sooner. I replaced my pump with a gm pump, and Hydro boost and gearbox from napa, as well as all my lines about a year and a half ago. Used napa ps fluid. Last couple weeks been intermittent loss of assist, this Thursday no assist unless over 1500 rpm. Flushed it with 4 qts of dex 3 then put in a combination of the royal purple and lucas power steering fluid. Now has the best brake feel and steering assist that it ever has. 2001 with 207k on it.

Just did the same except did not replace the hydroboost. The result was the same, incredible pedal feel now, almost no travel before brakes begin to grab. Steering fluid flush highly recommended. Absolutely amazing the difference. Took me 20 minutes.
