Cool. I work about half the year as a conductor and when business picks up I work the other half as a engineer. If you are still pretty young I would try to get your engineer qualification asap.

I'm north of Topeka about an hour. Got family that lives in the basor area (near cabelas and legends mall). You can hear the NASCAR track from my uncles back yard.

Hey brian I attended NARS in 2005 study hard and focus. Only 2% of our class was hired on to BNSF. I completed the course with 2nd highest overall score in the class and my buddy was the 1st highest. Neither of us hired on... I think we were too young???

Anyway I live in Topeka hit me up me and the old lady will come down and buy you a beer or somthng. We can take the old deuce for a spin

Must have been the times then, one of my good friends went recently and 90% of the candidates were offered jobs. How old were you at the time?

Pay is totally dependent on work ethic.

Your away from your family and don't really have a set schedule is the only negative.
