Where are you getting your info? Thats totally incorrect. Trailblazer SS has an NV120 which is a full-time AWD case, like the Denali/Escalade. Nothing about it is electronic. There are NO clutches...its a torque-biasing unit.

Denali/escalade/silverado SS trucks had the nvg149. TBSS was different for sure, maybe nv120^ not sure.

The denali/escalade SUVs had a Borg Warner unit that is electronically controlled. They are not a good option for performance vehicles. There has been quite a few AWD t cases over the years.

The trans sucks in TBSS. 4L60/65/70e = puke.
