True, and that is why the rules state the second hitch needs to be as strong as the first. Many second hitches are built for looks and not to do the job.
True, but anything the secondary hitch would have been ripped off... we had a bunch of braces and EVERYTHING from the diff back and to the frame was removed.... and I'm not mounting a secondary hitch to the rear diff...
The secondary hitch we use to run added 70+ lbs to the rear of our truck... never will we do that again after seeing all the lightweight chincy sh** they have let people get away with for 3 years, our new one will be minimal like everyone elses out of fairness...
The secondary hitch will not allow the truck to hook to the track like the primary which will reduce the load on it. So it just needs to take a momentary hit when it first gets loaded. After that it will not see as much stress as the primary.
