I pulled the one out of my 2005 and put in a DynaMat hood liner for $100. It's nice and shiny and it cleans easily.

I pressure wash mine, it doesn't seem to look to terrible. I can't take it off because of the cold here in the winter-need all the insulation I can get!:D

Soak it in Simple Green then pressure wash it from the top down....seemed to work pretty well for me. If that doesn't do it....yank it off and throw it away....that worked REALLY well for me.

I think a mural of a naked lady would look better there!!

But what really grinds my gears is the lack of underhood light on these trucks!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

You can say that again! Even my POS '93 S10 has a hood light.

It's like a $85 option that nobody ever gets for some reason!
There should be a giant spotlight under there that comes standard!!

I run a cleaning company, you'd think I could figure something out.

took the furniture tool and cleaned it just like I would a couch or chair.

worked good, a couple streaks i'll touch up but I think it dod the job.

It wasn't an option for the 04 MY, or else my truck would have it; I ordered it with every option I could get.

no its never been an "option" in the GMT-800 or GMT-900 trucks. The 99-02's had them standard and the 03+ trucks dont have them (and it wasnt optional either)

I guess I dont think the hood light is needed for the duramax since they dont break under normal use:rofl: And you guys actually clean under your hood:confused:
