Yup, been an R/C nutcase for a while too! R/C planes are fun too, love 3D, i have a realflight sim on my lappy
I have a Revo with a Collari .30
twice the size of the original and its a nasty italian race motor, were talkin like close to 5HP on a 12lb truck revving to 12-13K rpm! And a Sirio carb. Trinity header and pipe Also, converted to to forward only, no more reverse, kept blowing the transmission up. Still, every few tanks of fuel the trans has to be yanked because it hits 2nd gear so hard, it mushrooms the shift pawl end and it sticks in 1st or 2nd gear. Its a nasty truck! Hafta feather the throttle in 1st or it will wheelie out of hand and or backflip and if its cleaned out and on the pipe, it will stand back up when it hits 2nd gear! I even welded up a mini skid bar from brake line that goes where the rear bumper was, it had gas torch striker flints on the ends so would ride it like a wheelstander throwin sparks! it was cool till it bent it up beyond repair! Truck looks a lil rough nowdays, to many outta control slides, flips, etc. Just more money to clean it up with fresh goodies. I do have a 2500HD body all painted up just like my real truck will be!
With Spectrum DSM on it, i have about 2K total spent on it to this day
I also have a bone stock Losi Muggy, real fun truggy, just broke right now, landed a 40-50ft jump on its @ss last summer and trashed the back end of the truck:rofl: Needs fixed!
I also have a Typhoon II 3D LiPo/brushless aerobatic plane thats a blast!
And a Parkzone Vapor, ultra micro, look that up on youtube!
My bud has a HPI Baja 5b, buggy, with hi-stall clutch and HPI pipe, its fun as hell! I want a 5T though, im jelous Chad! He also has a Savage with a Axial .32 and hot bodies pipe, A Losi XXX-NT Sport with a highly modified Mach.15 by me
Im actually tinkering with diesel conversions right now, With out buying a conversion head, im doin it myself. I have an old Enya .15 plane motor that i filled the cyl head button solid and basically no combustion chamber, so it will all be forced through a drilled glow plug into a lanova cell! If i can get it working, ill try on my trucks and wanna convert a 4-stroke for a plane!
Cool thing about the diesel conversion is, no glow plugs, just an adjustable compression head, cheap fuel, can make yourself, more power and torque, longer run times. I hear they do smoke black somewhat. The fuel isnt pump diesel though, its basiclly clear lamp oil, some caster oil for lube and ether. Its alot more igniteable than regular diesel, dunno if regular #2 could even be used? But i guess they still smell good:happy2:
