My wife bought me a Slayer for my Birthday this year, drove the piss out of it (i.e. broken and in the shop...) so I had to buy another one to keep me busy.

Ah, she thinks it's a good hobby for me. It keeps me around the house at night, and I get to be with the kids. They love it... When I get the Slayer back, it's going to my 9 y.o., and I'm getting my 6 yo a Slash Electric for his 7th birthday next Sunday. Then we can bash the yard together :D

When I lived i Japan I got into them. I have a gas powered one and battery one. But they have been out in the garage for a long time. Need to pull them out and have fun with them again some day.

Yeah, I had them when I was younger, but sold or broke them. Not much to do during the week up here after work, so it passes the down time. The Slash I'm getting for my 7 yo is water proof, so it'll be used all winter:D Sand Paddles and ski mounts for the front, and it'll go anywhere.

My son got a Traxxas Slash(2WD Stadium Truck) for his B-day. Its more fun than I thought it would be, so we modded it today with a Velenion brushless motor and ESC kit and a gear swap. Going to upgrade to a Li-Po battery so it will hopefully go 65 or 70mph. Dad is sick and can't leave anything alone.:D

Those are the famous last words

I have a nitro powered one that sits in the garage, mine was a money pit.

Yeah, I know. I'm already looking for hop up parts for it... Before I even had my Slayer for 1 day, I had already ordered new bead lock wheels, new tires and a new intake. This one already needs new tires, so of course a few more things are going to end up in my shopping cart

I have a E-maxx and a team associated truck collecting dust in the garage. Now that I see the diesel conversion, I'm seriously thinking about getting back into it. Had loads of fun playing with those things. :happy2:
