I got what I thought was a nice 10 until I saw that one, looks like I gotta go try again this weekend and see if I can come up with something bigger to post pics of.

I've been seeing a monster about every night...can't get him within 50 yards though....muzzleloader/shotgun starts in a week. If he steps within' 150 yards my trusty old knight is going to drop him like a bad habit!:thumb:

I got a 9 point oct 23. My first Bow kill ever and my first buck in 14 years. I'm just like a 12 yr old kid all over again. My job has kept me from doing much rifle hunting so I picked up archery last year.

I'm pretty pumped!! First bow kill ever last night....Didn't realize he was this jacked up when I shot but it will still make a turd right? Aparently he broke one side earlier this year but it kept growing...Kinda cool looking really, 25 yards right at dark and he went maybe 175 yards before he went down. Cell phone pictures are all I got, pretty excited though for my first bow kill.

I dont hunt, but I saw a huge 10pt yesterday. We have a 6pt and 4pt "twins" that wander thru our backyard. They have an 8pt older brother out there, too.

Had a 6pt run right in front of my truck today. I thought deer had the "flight" instinct...so why do they always run directly in front of a vehicle?

Tom, white-tailed deer have interdigital glands between their hooves. These glands disperse scent where ever they step...did you ever notice a deer walks with his head 12-18" off the ground. This being the rut (mating season) the buck was probably on the trail of a doe that went across the road.
