Durallymax, your floors look awesome. I actually like the variations of colors. I think it looks sick.:thumb:
Dbushlb7, you sound like a guy i want to do my basement in my house when i finish it and get ready for floors. I Just built a new house. Do u travel? Hahahaha
Funny story and again glad he did you right! That 10 year old kid was me a long time ago. Made me smile actually to read your post. I work for my family's business and have been helping on wood floors since original Nintendo games lol.

Yikes! Shag! Boy I've torn out worse ill say that. One house where old people lived in particular. Their cats pissed everywhere at will. I had to wear a NIOSH respirator to even go in. I tore the first piece out and started to roll it up only to feel my hand get wet from fresh cat piss. I almost threw up.
That's kinda how I grew up on the farm. Never got video games and could only watch TV for a couple hrs on weekends. I'm not very old, so most of my classmates watched the simpsons every night and had every last video game there was. Guess I made my own fun otherwise haha.
Thanks I like the looks too and so has everyone else thats come through.
Ya this one was bad. They had cats too and let them piss everywhere, claw up all of the doors, you name it. I wore gloves and a respirator too. Wasn't in that house much without one. only took a few minutes of walking around and the plaster dust would start to kill my sinuses and allergies.

Another benefit of having wood floors! No more carpet to trap allergens!:woott:
If he doesn't want to and you want the Amish guys number let me know. You have to leave a voicemail with his boss at the cabinet shop and he'll refer the message so he can get him to call you back. Sounded like he traveled to stoughton for a few jobs so I don't see why he wouldn't come down by you. He's from the Reedsburg area like many of them.
I will say this though, you will have to plan on being out of the room for a long time. Since he installs on saturday's it takes two to finish the floor so that is one week you have to be out, then they reccomend 2 weeks before any heavy furniture or traffic although DBUSHLB7 may have more insight on this.
Sounds like you can't use true hardwood so I don't know if that would be up his alley either.
Full cure on Traffic HD anyway is 7 days. 90% cured after 3 days and slow to cure the other 10%. Def wait till full cure to put down area rugs but furniture can be LIFTED AND PLACED after 3 days. You can walk freely on the floors the day after the final coat in socks. I'd keep the shoes off the full week. Then again, Northerners don't wear shoes in the house at all do they?:thumb:
Friendly looking dog! Keep his nails trimmed lol
Might have to hear some ideas for my upstairs also. I have some stuff im goin to be changin around.
That house would look so outta place up here haha. But that floor looks very nice, not too many people would have the patient to scribe every piece I don't think. I know I get sick of it on my trim.
The dining room looks like someone must have had a carpet inside the decorative spot maybe at once?
Yes looks like a typical midwestern house. haha.
