Sorry to here that Rob

I tryed a bigger jet but the line size is only around .090 so no matter what jet you run its only going to get so much. I will fix that problem soon! It will have a couple of new parts from NOS and should be fine. I think the Dyno runs are so short that some problems don't show like they will on the track. All good things take time. Congrats on going some rounds. Ed's truck is FAST. Its cool to see him rolling with a camper pulling it with his :eek:RACE truck. My buddy's didn't believe me when I told them how fast it was. Jeff

Are we talking about Ed from NC with the crew cab and 4202r?

Yeah, Ed's truck is nasty and we get to see it pull in with the camper to just about every event we go to around here. His 6.89 was on the little 28 x 11.5 cheater slicks that I have now and with those big slicks he has now I think he'll get even faster. Nothing like seeing him wrinkle all 4 sidewalls on cold track in Pageland then breaking loose all 4. Get's done, changes tires, hooks up the trailer and drives home. Then on top of running so well at the tracks he'll throw on some STS's and hang weights, bush down the 4202 to a 2.8 and yank a sled like no other. Hell of a nice guy too, basically the poster child/truck for all the thing these trucks can do.

X2 Rob. how'd you do?

I Did OK, but killing myself for the red light, was not necessary to run it that tight that round. Being a new truck(to me) had me changing my launch styles to cut lights and it bit me.
Phil from CompD loaned me his Dmax which was very cool since he just met me down there. Nice truck that was running within .000-020 of the dial in each run. Lost in the semi's, truck was better than I

Rob was dead on in the CompD truck....sliced his way through about 50 other competitors and wound up with the Competition Bye...had he won that round he would have automatically gone into the finals in ET Bracket.
He had viscious lights all day...seems like every time I looked it was a .0X light.
He went out with a -.004 redlight.

We had some give away's from Optima that we decided to hand out for the best dial in/reaction time package for each round of ET Bracket...I put one of those into Robs hands.

I'm telling y'all...that guy is an animal on the tree....even with some of the worst track conditions I've ever seen.

Thank you, sorry for not closing the deal!

Yup,

His best ET in the 1/8 the is a 6.89 at 99+ mph.

I'll be retuning it again in March and we hope to pick it up a little and get him over 100 mph in the 1/8th.

Tony, congrats on those two trucks, I rode in Jason's, impressive to say the least. Ed's truck is one sweet running rig also!

His trailer is a 28' enclosed. In the rear he has all of his weights and tires for pulling, tires for racing, an air compressor, tool box, and so on. Up front are some sleeping quarters. Hiding from the sun under his roll out awning is always nice at the hot events. He has a cam from Guy to help the 4202 be more streetable and able to tow; as long as he keeps the RPMs up a little it has no problems with EGTs. This is all going from what he has told me and what I have seen in person. PM or call him and I'm sure he'd answer any other questions you have.

Yes, he's damn near impossible to beat on the tree, think he's the only guy to ever cut a perfect light in the Diesel Power Challenge. That's why he and Nathan will be driving the Maxed Out Race Truck (Old Whitey) and I'll be watching.:D Nathan is no slouch on the tree either.;)

Thanks Rob,

Jays truck never did get finalized as far as tuning, his old tranny prevented us really getting it dialed in and he hasn't been back to CT to get it finished up.

Ed discovered a few minor things on his truck that effected the rail psi and that needs some tweaks as well.

Over the next couple of months they will both get re-tuned and should both get faster.............:D

Ken, Rob is a bad boy on the tree. He's not the only one at Utah to cut a good light. Ask Chris Warner for his time ticket(look at it) at the DPC and I had a .000 light against him. I had a .095 on a .400pro tree against Jess but just didn't have the oats to stay ahead of him last weekend. This truck racing is getting tough and is going to get better as time goes on. I hope everything is going well with the trucks. Hope to see you at a event soon. Jeff

Jeff, glad you were able to make it and I knew your truck would run great. Didn't remember that perfect light against Chris but congrats, albeit about a year late. Really looking forward to getting. "OLD WHITEY" running. Rob has been working like a dog on it. Nathan about has all the special secret sauce goodies done for it as well. I've decided to keep the 06 I was trying to sell and do a mild build on it. Will be something us geezers can drive without hurting ourselves.:D

I ha da good time there and met a few people that I've talked with and finally got to put a face with the names. I got to dyno my new engine with a mild tune but they would not let me do any test runs. It dynoed at 622hp and 1119tq at 30 psi boost.

It was a good time! I wish I would have made it 1 more day to have spent more time in the sun. It was nice to meet some fellow diesel nuts also. I still can't get over Brians crew cab dually running 6.80's and that old school white dodge running 8.40's and it looked so stock. Neet trucks. Jeff

Good time for sure!! We had a lot of new trucks in Pro-Street.............at least 5, I think. (There was a total of 12 in P.S.)
I never could count them, but there had to be at least 25-30 in bracket and 10 or so for Index.
The track was tough..........not much else to say about that!
I'm just glad that fuel prices are half what they were last year!..........1200+ miles at 5.00/gal. would have been rough.
Definately good to put some faces on names and see some old friends too! I'm ready for the next one!!:D
