I need to buy a bolt in frame notch, but all the places I have looked at (DJM etc), only say will fit 1500,2500,3500 and nothing more. the frames arent the same from 1500-2500 duh and the people ive talked to on the phone dont know squat. As soon as I say it's a 4wd they say we don't carry a C notch for a 4wd but have one for a 2wd 1500... I have everything I need to drop my truck to a 4-6 except a frame notch which is "hanging" me up.

Who carries one for a "2500HD" that I can pick up??

Thanks

I bought Air Ride Technologies (now Ridetech) I bought a Notch kit with 4 link and Airbags about 3 years ago thats still in my truck (2500HD) The kit I bought was for a 3500 Dually but the notch fitted up perfectly to mine. It was a bolt on but I welded it as well. At that time they had just notches for sale seperately either bolt in or weld in IIRC

is that the truck in your sig??? thats awesome lets see some more pics

I have the McGaughy's stuff. Just did 3" in the rear after I cut it in half.

The kit in the link is damned near the same as the old flip kit DJM sold for the 2500HD/3500. It just looks pretty now with that gray coating. I'm assuming you plan to weld that in once you get it. I wouldn't sweat it too bad. You can buy a piece of scrap plate and weld that in once you make your cut. Duplicating the pieces in the kit is pretty simple except for that nice looking bump stop.

BTW, your truck looked pretty good when I saw it in PHX, this drop is going to look sick.

Yeah, I think you were getting someone tickets when we were checking in. That was the only good part of two months in Arizona. Sometimes work really sucks.

Tell me about it, especially in the summer

And thanks for the info on stylin. I'll go ahead and order the notch and the drop hangers. If it's too low and hits my tires i'll slap on the stock shackles to lift it back up while the bed is off.

If you really want it notched just bring it by my yard next weekend. I'll have it cut and a bracket welded in about 2 hours. I can fab up a c notch off my frame this week that way all we have to do is cut and install on your truck. Might cost you a bill.

This is probably a dumb question but ur already have a 3-5 on it now and ur notching the frame bcuz ur going lower? R u putting ur leafs under the rear and the spindles will give u how much up front? I have 2" drop shackles in the rear and want to go lower but I need to make sure I can still fit 30x14 cheaters under it

he has the 3-5 plus the fact hes only runnin two rear leaf springs per side so it sits really low. he has maybe two inches between the frame and rear axle lol. talk about axle wrap
