Truck was scheduled for last friday delivery but never made it. After about 20 calls the driver finally called me back at 4 p.m. friday afternoon to say he wouldnt be here until monday but it would be first thing in the morning. well I started calling at 7 a.m this morning, no answer at 7, no answer at 8,9,10,11 am.. So after leaving a less then pleasant voice mail for the driver I get a call back saying he wouldnt be here until 1.. Guess what? Yup no show, no call until 3, now he said closer to 5. Well it arrived covered in road grime, salt and just caked with dirt. So to sum it up, Progressive did pretty good with setting up a driver and a really fair rate, Problem was the company (AMG) they hired to actually transport my truck SUCK!! They said tuesday morning pick-up but did not pick it up until mid day wednesday, Never called once all week to let me know what was going on. Waisted my whole friday waiting around for these idiot's that could not even pick up a phone and say 'Hey man, not gonna make it today' Then same sh!t this morning, I could have went to work and made money friday and today if this company would relay a little info or atleast pick up there phones. Sorry for the long winded rant but it simply amazes me that companies like this stay in business.

I call the broker when i load, 1 hour before detention starts and after delivery or if something outside my control happens that would cause me to be late

I like the sounds of that ^^ :thumb: I believe the fact that the 2 drivers or the dispatch office could speak much english further complicated the situation. It wasnt the fact they showed up a day late to get it or 3 days late on delivery as much as there was no comunication, beyond frusterating....

At least you got the truck. Hopefully it's just dirty, and nothing is broken or damaged.

When I bought my blue truck, we flew down to Texas and drove back to Michigan over 4th of July weekend. My dad and my bud Mark came along. Hell, Mark did 99% the driving in MY truck .

No it's pewter, light silver/beige or whatever that color is. I wish it was the dark silver or grey though as I'm not really a fan of pewter..

I would have liked to go down and drive it back but timing just was not working out.. And X2 on hopefully there's no damage, it is literally to dirty to tell currently..

Oh okay, because I saw this thread and there was a truck that was in Mississippi that we called on that was sold right before we called on it. You posted this thread like the same day so I thought it was the same truck. I work for a dealer and our shippers we use don't go out East. So I am flying to get another LBZ that is for my dad from Missouri Friday night and driving the truck home to Salt Lake ( my dad has sky miles with his business and with my grandpa going we get senior discounts at the hotels LOL ). WAY cheaper than getting a shipper from U-ship bids and our other friends in the car business do not have shippers back east. :thumb: Gonna make for a long mother drive.

Sure is hard to find a ALL stock grandpa owned truck these days.

Your probably thinking of silver-birch! That is what mine is and the new one we are getting for my dad.

IF i would've seen this i could have helped ya out, just drove down to texas to drop a load off over the weekend and could have had a nice back haul.

My rates are a little higher since i mainly do Ag based stuff, but would've been glad to help some. Some shippers don't take pride in what or how they do things, the smaller the company, generally the better they are. OTR "super truckers" generally give 0 shits about anything.

i have seen dispatchers call drivers as a wakeup to make sure they are up to get moving then call hour later to make sure they are moving... and the driver is 50 something and they are babysiting them like 5yos
