IMO the Ravelco is kind of a waste of money...just put a bunch of hidden toggle switches into various ignition/power/starter circuits.

Sadly, nothings going to stop the truck from getting towed though.

Modern automotive anti-theft/immobilizer systems have gotten so advanced nowadays that really there is no more "hotwiring"...no matter how smart/sophisticated the thief. They (modern immobilizer systems) are just too complicated/advanced to be defeated in any reasonable amount of time. So thieves have just transitioned to having tow trucks...

Unfortunately, it only takes a minute to crawl under the truck, disconnect the shifter cable, and manually move the transmission shift lever out of park.

Why do I keep doing this?

If you're that worried about it, couldnt you create a sheetmetal shield around the NSBU that protects it front and side, close enough so the shift cable cant be popped off?

With a tow truck you don't need to worry about undoing the shift cable. The winch will drag it up the bed either way.

Thanks for the answers guys......I looked into the Ravelco and although its fairly pricey and the installer is in Mass. it may still be on the table. I bought a cheap GPS tracker from Amazon and threw it into my Chevelle as a test and to tell you the truth, it's pretty neat for the 40.00 I spent on it. It monitors the ACC position on the ignition, the + and (-) on the doors, and has a relay to cut whatever circuit you want. All of this from your cellphone. Bad thing is you need a SIM card from ATT which is 15.00 a month. Kind of like your own OnStar. Still evaluating it, but so far so good...

I have a hidden toggle switch for my PTO/High Idle circuit. I changed table B1902 to 100mm3 @ 0mph but then set the rest to -100mm3. High idle works perfect but the instant there is speed registered the throttle pedal goes dead. Great for if someone gets your keys or tries to carjack ya.

Frankly with no locking steering column these trucks can unfortunately be stolen in 15 seconds regardless of theft system. Crawl underneath and pop off the shift cable, break out the window, then have an acquaintance push the truck away with another vehicle. Best bet is to park it in a more secure spot.
Digging deep here lol.
Just curious will it just go to idle or does the engine straight die when it starts seeing speed?

Lol you are Digging.

If you set all your injection rates to 0 in the PW table it won't start. I have a tune like that in my DSP5 and the switch is hidden. The only bad thing is if you switch past that position slow while going to a different tune the truck really stumbles.

Ya I know about that and was going to do it with tune 2 but was wondering if this accomplished the same thing. Waiting on pins to show up to wire in the high idle switch so can’t test it myself yet.

Oh I didn't quite understand what you're trying to do. I'm not sure what table he's talking about, but B1902 doesn't exist that I can find. I can't think of any that use MM3 and reference speed off the top of my head.

I found the b1902 table. I adjusted it as he did but haven’t been able to test yet.

Maybe it's just not on the Lbz. I though I checked the lly too or maybe I just missed it. When you get your ECM that she resolved let me know how it works out. It be nice to have my remote start work and a security tune.
