Unless you're running home heating fuel (off road) I wouldn't be over concerned with gelling on today's pump fuel. Run addition lubricity and cetane booster

Many of us in N. Illinois run white bottle PowerService (most readly availabe) whenever it starts getting below +20* regularly every fillup and every other tank above that. About all the pumps say good to -20 (#1 blend) but the extra lubricity of the additive is a reassuring thing.

I have had pump fuel gel on me at about -30 F. I now run Stanadyne Perf. Formula at every fill up summer and winter. Since then I have run in -50 without trouble...fuel trouble anyway

I've always ran Howes, they claim if you keep all your receipts and you have fuel gel up they will pay your tow bill.

cheapest thing is to not add anything, but have a bottle of power service diesel 911... if your truck gels pour that stuff in your tank, and some in the fuel filter.

Personally i'm not going to freeze my ass off when it get cold enough to gel up my fuel so I run optilube xpd, but pretty much any additive has anti gel in it. you have to run it every tank when it gets cold out. usually sub 20's is a good idea to start adding, if your only concern is gelling.
