New to the forum and to my new to me Duramax. Own plenty of 7.3s and 6.0s over the years got a good deal on this dually so i scooped it up. Now time to learn the do's and don'ts. Going to keep it close to stock for now haha.

2001 CCSB Chevy 3500 Auto 2wd
Already has the Old Edge Juice tuner on it. Figured I would ditch it no telling how old it is and tuning has came along way. So plans on what to do and go for are up in the air

Plans not set in stone:
New Edge or EFI
Edge CTS2 Monitor
4" straight pipe exhaust
New Down Pipe
FASS Setup
Turbo not sure yet Stock is doing fine right now
Injectors not sure yet

Its a somewhat Daily Driver and Tow sometimes nothing crazy but I like to upgrade a little.
Figure 450 would be a decent number but really looking at a sound all around truck.

Edge CTS2 Monitor Good choice, I like them. Banks iDash 1.8 will be my go to once they release the pre-can version
4" straight pipe exhaust Since your truck is a 2001, youa re pre CAT so it shouldn't be a problem other than potential noise/dB limits
New Down Pipe Same as above
FASS Setup Always a solid upgrade, keeps things fed as well as helps keep fuel cleaner
Turbo not sure yet Stock is doing fine right now No need to upgrade if it isn't broken UNLESS you want more power. Drop in 64mm is always a good choice at that time to help driveability
Injectors not sure yet SAC45 are a good upgrade when the time comes, supports some more HP than stock and offers longevity improvements

Bdsankey Thanks for the answers to all that. I'm still reading up on things, and eventually I will add some more power so supporting future HP gainers is what I'm wanting to do.

I have been looking and reading on the Resonator Delete to clean up the engine bay, and the Boost inline valve aka"crack pipe" from what i have read. First I'm going for Exhaust, Intake to let her breathe better, then the EFI Live "canned Tunes" i guess for now, and the Edge CTS2

Okay didn’t know about the resonator just doing some reading and seen the block off offered for my year.
Yes trans will definitely been beefed up once I make the move for HP gains. Actually going to look at a trans that a buddy has for a backup to slowly build
